Council at Redeemer
The Lutheran Church of the Redeemer council has general oversight of the life and activities of LCR, as well as, in particular, its worship life, to the end that everything be done in accordance with the Word of God and the faith and practice of the Lutheran Churches in Mission for Christ.
The constitution of LCR establishes a council comprised of ten LCR members elected by the church congregation members for two year terms. Ideally, half of the council is elected in December of each year. The council president, vice-president and treasurer and secretary comprise the officers of the church. Management of the church legal affairs and management of the staff is the responsibility of an executive team comprised of the officers plus the pastor. Key functional responsibilities are assigned to five ministry areas, plus the director of buildings and grounds.
